Upwas Bhajni Mix

Upwas Bhajni is a classic combination of oven roasted Sabudana (Sago), Warai (Samo), Rajgira (Amaranthus) and flavoured with Jire (cumin seeds). The Thalipeeth/Pancake during a typical fast is made from this flour. It is almost instant as it takes 5 mins to make the dough and about 3-4 minutes to cook the thalipeeths/pancakes (mashed potatoes and coriander leaves can be added to enhance its taste). It is highly aromatic and tastes delicious when served with chutney, pickle and a dollop of butter or curd on top of it. Also deep fried vadas made from upavaas bhajani make a fulfilling meal on fasts days.
